Has anyone here had a problem where vaping kills your sense of taste? Mine seems to be dulling down a bit.
Vapers Tongue is usually caused by vaping too much, for too long of a similar flavor. You need to shock your taste buds. Eat something completely different in taste to your vape or vape a different (maybe even strong) flavor that will shock your taste buds. I know and have seen online a few vapers that say that they need to brush their teeth and use mouth wash 4-5 times a day in order to get their taste buds working again. I personally have to brush my teeth a extra time or two a day every now and then, especially when I have not changed away from my ADV flavor.
Your senses of taste and smell are the first to return after quitting smoking. Then after that it is the Vapers Tongue issue that will affect your sense of taste. Yes, you will be able to taste your old favorite flavors again. You just need to 'shock' or 'reset' them with some of the things I mentioned.
Alright. I'll try to vape more varied flavors from now on, and maybe eat some spicy foods to kickstart things.
Vapers tongue is a pain in the ass! I find sniffing coffee beans sometimes helps or vaping a nice strong menthol for a while.
Try keeping more hydrated - I find I suffer less if I drink more water (I think you're meant to drink something stupid like 8 pints a day anyway, so probably if you try to get to that sort of level, it'd be fine). Also, as @zephyr has said, coffee works really well for clearing the palate. Not sure I'd go so far as carrying coffee beans round with me, but drinking some seems to work well enough!
I found a very cheap juice that I like. It's nothing special, but it's good. I use that most of the time, and when I can't taste the flavor anymore, it's no big deal and I can still get my nic. When I'm chilling out at home and wanting some good flavor, all of my expensive premiums taste fresh as the first time I tried them.
That's just vape tongue. Basically, the propylene glycol and vegetable glycerin create a very thin layer over your tongue, which makes it feel dry. Because of this thin layer, your taste buds are slightly covered. Just grab your toothbrush and brush your tongue, and you should be back to normal . . .
Really thanks for the advice..I am new to vaping and dont want to face similar situation with taste buds..
Great help for me..I am new to vaping and hope I would be able to keep my own tastebuds in good condition..
